    Mountain Flight IN NEPAL

The journey heads north east upon take off and soon after the bright green paddy fields and beautiful green hills of Nagarkot and Dhulikhel below, depending on the time of the year, start giving way to green sub alpine forests. After then come series famous peaks but unknown like: Dorje Lakpa (6 966 m), Langtang Valley (7 234 m), Phurbi Ghyachu (6 637 m) on the right, Choba Bhamare (5 970 m), Gauri Shankar (7 134 m), Melunggtse (7 181 m) and all range of Rolwaling Valley. Chomolongma means “mother of the universe” in Tibetan name, Sagarmath means “mother of the skies” in Nepali name and Everest (8 848 m) after Sir George Everest who measured its height and pinpointed its location. We will have the huge views of Lhotse (8 516 m), Nuptse (7 855 m), Everest Base Camp including Khumbu Glacier (Biggest glacier in Nepal) and all surrounded famous white snow peaks.

Langtang Valley (7 234 m)

The first series of peaks which can be seen after ascending is the Langtang Valley. The valley of Langtang is considered as the most beautiful valley of nature in comparison of the whole Himalayan region in Nepal. And it’s known as Land of Tamang (Buddhist) people.

 

Gosainthan (8 013 m)

The Gosainthan is spectacularly situated in the Tibet. The Tibetan name for this peak is Shisapangma. The mountain is related to many Hindu mythological stories and the deity of Shiva.

 

Dorje Lakpa (6 966 m)

This mountain has a Tibetan name, which means "the mountain of many sacred thunderbolts". This mountain is considered to be a holy mountain for Buddhists. Climbing permission was given only in 1964, and it was not climbed until 1981.

 

Gauri-Sanker (7 134 m)

This single mountain has two peaks and two names because the Hindus believe that the mountain looks like the pair of Gods Shiva and Gouri. This holy mountain was restricted for expeditions till 1977. The American and Nepali expedition summit in 1979.

 

Lhotse (8 516 m)

This mountain lies south of Everest and received his name by the Sherpas. Lhotse means literally "South Peak". The first ascent of this mountain took place in 1956 by Swiss Expedition.

 

Mount Everest (8848 m)

This Mountain was discovered in 1852 as the highest mountain of the world and is named after Sir George Everest an English surveyor. Sagarmatha is the name given by the Nepali citizens which means, "Mother of the skies". In Tibet Mount Everest is called Chomolongma which means “Mother of the world”. Sir Edmund Hillary and Tenzing Norgey Sherpa were the first summiteers of Mount Everest on May 25, 1953.
